TEXTURES, MOTIFS, PATTERNS,
AND BACKGROUNDS
Unless you have the opportunity to hold a piece of Oriental Cloisonne, your chances of scrutinizing the details are remote.
This page provides many close-up images of Japanese and Chinese cloisonne. You will note, some similarities and many
differences, traditional symbols were used early on by both countries: such as dragons, ho-birds, butterflies, fish,
the 4 seasons, flowers etc.

be adding my site tag in the middle of cloisonne mark images, to discourage unlawful copying.
